A bad start of the day,
- Its raining heavily. (Luckily darling came to fetch me to school)
- Traffic congestion. Both lanes were not moving at all. I couldn't keep still as my time was running out. At 12.30pm was my presentation, n at 12pm, I was caught in that shit! We didn't know what exactly happened ahead. Despite d heavy rain, dar went down to take a look. He's drenched even thou he brought umbrella along. Can you imagine how heavy is d rain? Stupid bus driver! He knocked down a motorist but that motorist wasn't injured, so he can actually shift his bus to d side instead of blocking both lanes right? *Fuming* Wasting my precious time!
- Its my turn to present. Without further ado, I started presenting. My tutor stopped me as she had not started recording.
Ya I admit, my presentation sucks! I heard my voice trembling n I speaks like a machine gun. AND worst, don't know y I keep on glancing at my slides.
Received my presentation evaluation at d end of my class. Phew~ I m graded B-. Not that bad la but still feeling kinda disappointed with myself. Should have done better.
Grading from poor, fair, good, very good to excellent:
- Gained attention & interest (fair)
- Introduced topic clearly (good)
- Had sufficient evidence n examples (fair)
- Main points well organized & transitions clearly signaled (good)
- Good body language, no distracting mannerisms (fair)
- Good grammar & vocabulary, fluent n good articulation (good)
- Voice projection & effective variations in tone (fair)
- Maintained good eye contact (fair)
- Maintained good audience rapport (fair)
Comments:
- Try to give more examples to illustrate your main points
- Gestures not apparent
- Language ok
- Vary your voice, speak slower
- Look at your audience, avoid glancing too often at your slides
- Delivery style can be further improved; especially regard to gestures and eye contact.
Well, its over, I felt relieved now. Thanz Shan, Effie n those who sms me! Thanz for all your encouragement! Tomorrow I'll be having another presentation BUT its a informal one. Hahz~ Not a big deal!
Darling would be going to Bangkok with his colleague on this coming Thursday. Going there to play golf? As if Spore has no golf course. Leaving me alone in Spore. =( actually its both a good n bad news for me. Good news - I can fully concentrate in my studies. Bad news - I'll definitely miss him! Anyway, he's not going to be there for long. Would be back on Sunday.
Saying about golf, I did thought of learning it too. As a leisure? No harm learning ma. *Considering* Might take up d course during my Dec holidays?
That's all for today. I'm going off. Byz~
