i had so much fun there n i thought it was a fruitful trip.
doing shopping;
visiting d attractions;
experiencing d thrill rides;
strolling along d beach;
enjoying d breeze;
appreciating d scenery;
snapping;
i love d cool weather there.
thou at times d weather was freezing cold like 7 degree celsius, n d most it got to like 15 degree celsius.
i put on 3 clothes n yet i was shivering but i do enjoy d winter chill.
d ang mo there r extremely friendly too, especially at gold coast.
even strangers would greet us.
we felt so welcomed.
d ang mo would approach us n offered to help us take photo too.
so nice right?
save our trouble from asking around.
now i know y people r migrating to australia.
its such a lovely place.
what I loathe most is i couldnt get away with chickens & chips.

i miss chinese food when i was there.
got to eat laksa at sydney n again is with chicken.
puke!
oh but d laksa was nice n EXPENSIVE!
$7.30 aus per bowl which = S$9.30!
anyway all their food is roughly this price la.
australia has a high standard of living.
everything's ex.
cheapest bus fare was $1.70 aus in sydney which = S$2.20.
d distance is like from my place to teck whye?
in gold coast was much ex.
less than 5 stops n i've to pay $2.40 aus which = S$3.10!
so u can imagine when i was traveling further how much do i've to pay?
from our resort to dream world, which is d furthest, i paid about $4.50 aus = S$5.80!
d distance is like from my place to town.
trains, light rail & monorail in sydney r almost d same price too.
alright, here's my itinerary:
day 1: 04/06/07
departed from spore @ 9.55am and reached brisbane international airport @ 4.30pm which is brisbane time 6.30pm.
d journey took 6 n 1/2 hours.
brisbane/gold coast/sydney time is 2 hours ahead of us.
we took d shuttle coach (we already booked in adv) to gold coast, diamond cove resort, where we stayed.
reached there at around 12am (spore time 10pm)
we were held back by d long queues while checked out from d airport n further more, we were d last few to alight at gold coast n that being d reasons y we took so long to reach our resort.
actually d journey from brisbane to gold coast is less than 2 hours.
d resort is so cosy man! (i took a video)
day ended @ around 2am (spore time 12am)
day 2: 05/06/07
woke up @ 6.30 am (spore time 4.30am).
got prepared n went shopping!
most of d shops there open from 9/10am - 5.30/7.30pm (spore time 7/8am - 3.30/5.30pm).
hit pacific fair (walking distance from our resort) n then to broadbeach.
i love d beach!
beautiful!
its so windy n i like watching d waves!
u cant get to c it in spore.
shopped around surfers paradise, queensland's entertainment capital.
it's a shopping paradise!
*happiness!
bought sea world, movie world n dream world entrance tics.
cost $350 aus = S$448!

day 3: 06/06/07 (rainy day)
spent d whole day at sea world.
10am - 5.30pm (spore time 8am - 3.30pm)
d ang mo dont like to bring umbrella.
they prefer to wear poncho.
so we followed them.
me looked like penguin with that poncho.
haha!
basically in sea world, u would get to c dolphins, sea lions, sharks, polar bears, dugong, n i cant remember.

we took d corkscrew ride, pirate ship, ferris wheel n monorail.
day ended @ around 6.30pm (spore time 4.30pm)
day 4: 07/06/07
spent d day at warner bros. movie world n then to surfers paradise again.
shops open till 9pm on every thurs (spore time 7pm).
warner bros. movie world makes me feel young again!
i saw a couple of looney tunes characters.
took photos with bugs bunny, tasmania, tweety bird, austin power n scooby-doo n d mystery inc gang.
where's batman, cat woman, sylvester n d don't know what duck?
i din manage to take photo with them!
*sadness!
we were busy taking photos, catching d shows n shopped around n therefore no time for d rides!

day 5: 08/06/07 (freezing cold)
a day @ dreamworld.
a place where we could experienced d thrill rides!
we took d tallest high speed gravity rollercoaster in d southern hemisphere, tower of terror (up to 38 storey high!), d adrenaline rush of d twisting wipeout n a few more.
oops, i cant recall d names.
know what, i got to cuddle a koala bear!
oh god, u know how lovely it is?
i also hand-feed kangaroo n goat!
what a great experience man!
day ended @ around 8pm (spore time 6pm).
back to resort n packed our stuff.
day 6: 09/06/07 (last day at gold coast)
*sadness.
had to check out by 10am (spore time 8am) so woke up early in d morning n head to pacific fair for breakfast.
subsequently, went to d mermaid beach.
another beautiful beach which is linked to d broadbeach.
back to resort n waited for d shuttle coach to pick us up.
reached brisbane domestic flight terminal at around 1pm (spore time 11am) n our flight is 7.30pm (spore time 5.30pm).
when we checked in, d personnel asked whether we want to board d earlier flight to sydney which was 3pm (spore time 1pm).
we desperately want n agree immediately!
reached sydney domestic flight terminal at around 4.30pm (spore time 2.30pm).
took shuttle van to crest hotel.
about 30 minutes away from airport.
day ended @ around 10m (spore time 8pm)
day 7: 10/06/07
booked a sightseeing day tour for next day.
$83 aus each = S$106.20.
hit sydney's paddy's market.
open only on thurs, fri, sat, sun n public holiday from 9am - 5pm (spore time 7am - 3pm).
went to darling harbour after that, walking distance from sydney's paddy's market.
then to galleries victoria where queen victoria building located.
another shopping paradise.
sell mostly high-end products.
but i was able to dig out some cheap clothes yea!
hehe!
day ended @ around 8pm (spore time 6pm)
day 8: 11/06/07
blue moutain day tour.
set off at 7.45am (spore time 5.45am).
very early right?

- aboriginal site
- morning tea on nepean river
- kings tableland or evans lookout
- pleasant bushwalk to went worth falls
- d garden village of leura (lunch)
- katoomba n katoomba waterfall
- three sisters rock formation
- scenic world
- river cruise
went to casino @ star city.
utterly different from genting one.
smoke free, no ah peh, no aunties, mostly ang mo.
not packed too.
does this means caucasians don't like to gamble?

d bankers r more sociable than those in genting.
they would talk to u n also wish u luck.
genting's like very rigid.
ended our day @ around 10pm (spore time 8pm).
day 9: 12/06/07
last shopping day.
but before that, we went to opera house where i could also c d harbour bridge.
afterwhich, went to worldsquare shopping centre, galleries victoria, n all d streets nearby.
do my last minute shopping.
in d evening before we head to d casino again, we hit chinatown.
nothing much actually.
more on food.
i played jackpot.
1 cent per credit n i won $20 aus = S$25.60.
incredible huh?
da's down with luck.
played caribbean stud n lose a hundred over bucks.
(that time we went genting, before this australia trip, da won a few hundreds rm.)
no worries.
my da is not a gambler n i hate heavy gambler.
he gambles occasionally like during cny or when we go casino which is mayb once or not even once a year.
day ended @ around 11pm (spore time 9pm)
day 10: last day of my australia trip.
say bye bye to australia.
departed sydney international airport @ 11.30am (spore time 9.30am)
touch down @ our airport 5.45pm.
d journey took 8 hours n 15 mins.
u know, we slept real early when we were in australia.
we slept at spore time 7+pm n woke up at 5am, almost everyday.
slept quite a lot yea?
nothing to do at night la.
as i already mentioned d shops closed kinda early.
